Ecclesiastes 3:1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
And this, indeed, is an exciting season for us! We have been given so many wonderful opportunities, and so far, God has allowed us to accept and enjoy the benefits of each and every one of them. How about you? In what season do you find yourself?
I think a season can mean a couple of different things. It can be a season in our lives. It can be youth, adulthood, old age, or somewhere in between these. It can also be a season of struggle, or a season of great blessing and benefit.
Regardless of our season, God moves and blesses at the appointed time. This band has been around for awhile. But God has seen fit to bring together people who contribute their own unique gifts and skill sets, which results in a season of incredible blessing and growth. When God enters in and multiplies the people and the factors in a situation, the results are greatly increased. How is this done? It is done when He determines it will be done, and in His time.
I believe patience is a great part of seeing the fruit of any matter, and any season. The same door that was impossible to open last year, may swing wide today. And the opposite is also true. Why? Because God is about more than just the results. Always, and in all ways, He is about US. So, while something may result in great blessing in our lives, if it hinders our walk with Him, or turns our eyes away from Him, He will lovingly keep it at arms length for a season. He wants our growth, our well-being, and our highest good. In fact, He wants all good things for us, above anything we could hope or envision, and if success, or financial gain, or blessing in any form will harm us, it is His great love that withholds it for a time.
The band is experiencing the beginning of tremendous blessing. And we are so, so thankful to our gracious God. Please check out our events page, and see what is happening. This Wednesday night at 7:15 PM we are announcing via Facebook Live, many exciting things upcoming. Of course, after the announcement, you can find them here as the days tick forward, as well.
What is your season? If you are in a time of sorrow, or a time of waiting, don't give up. Allow the sorrow to complete its healing work, and allow the waiting to develop patience and perseverance. Allow the work to have its way. God is near, and He will remain near. Nothing is wasted, and He has not forgotten you.
If you need prayer, reach out to us, via the blog, the emails, in person or however you wish. We absolutely promise that someone will take the time with you that you richly deserve, as a child of God. Because this is part of our blessing: to be able to return His kindness and grace to others, and to pour into them. This is part of the reason for our existence. Our music should be an expression and extension of our lives and our kindness. We are as close as the shade at His right hand, and we promise to extend that hand to you. God bless you all!
